It's Transgender Awareness Week and the Gals explain the significance before diving into Scottie's account of ALL of the women in the family converging to meet Scottie, V2.0. Throughout her life, Scottie has always enjoyed the respect that was her divine right as Oldest child, Only son, Only Grandson (on her Mother's side). But she was going to have to drop her "default programming" (which could be summed up in two words: my way or the highway) and step forward with grace, if she stood any chance of going from Patriarch to Matriarch...

Scottie realized fairly quickly (thank god, it must be the estrogen) that the real person who had to drop old concepts of how to be was none other than little ol' she. Yes, she faced one sister referring to her finally embracing her inevitable as "a death in the family." and another sister just not answering the phone any more, but, if she was going to take her seat as the Matriarch of Clan Madden, she was going to have to step forward with Grace and love and allow the women who have done more than their fair share keeping the family on four wheels, to make room for a new bIg sister on their terms and at their pace...
