SEATTLE PRIDE TOUR JOURNAL "THE EMBRACE OF THE EMERALD CITY!"
5 action packed days of non-stop appearances - followed by a a week of follow-up and follow-thru

It started with a simple question... when are you coming to Seattle?
Our dear friends have been following our evil plan for world domination (heck we'll settle for a gig at this point), and when the above question appeared on our Facebook walls, it... well, it snowballed from there.
Next thing we know, we're sitting pretty in the prime spot and everyone stepped up to support us as the mascots for this year's Trans*Pride. We just clicked our heels an faster than you could say "out of the woods" we're on TV Radio, Podcasts, two public events and making friends all along the rainbow brick road... we were excited and frankly, a little in shock, It was looking like it would turn out to be one giant lovefest - but as Tezzer's sainted grandmother Rose would say,,"it's all fun and games until somebody puts an eye out!" In this case it's eye of the entire LBTQ community as Washington State watched in horror as it became the latest battleground for the Trojan horse bathroom laws. - I1515, suddenly, our visit couldn't have been better timed - and we couldn't wait to roll up our sleeves and stand with our community to fight down the disgraceful, despicable and sinister acid trying to erode the American ideals and moral fiber. Seattle? Really? Seattle. Really.
And here we are, now on the other side - Orlando happened, Yes, that did happen. And colored everything we did. It set the context. It gave us purpose. It made the trip real.

We would never have made it without several good witches of the west: our gracious host in Seattle, Auntie Linda Mikkelsen. We'd also like to thank the woman who started it all, Carol Dole, who wrote to the Town Hall asking them to invite us in the first place..We also could not have done this without the warm and generous support of the Gender Justice League's Elayne Wylie, and Danni Askini, and the entire Emerald City community who opened their arms and came out to support us at each of our events. Together, we all really made a difference. Not only did we shine at each of our events, but we also laid important groundwork for the future with a few large Seattle-based corporations - Microsoft and Amazon, and the Marriage and Relationship Counselors of Seattle. Below are some of the highlights - enjoy!

THE ICING ON THE CAKE! A MAGICAL WEEK IN SEATTLE WRAPS UP WITH PRIDEFEST 2016
Scottie & Marcy took the day off to revel in Seattle's warm embrace and celebrated PRIDE in Seattle. New friends, Lucy & Catherine, were amazing and gracious hosts! Pride in Seattle, as all over the world, was a bittersweet affair this year. We celebrated in the name of the 49 we lost in Orlando. We celebrated for them. For their families. For our community. It wasn't easy. The debates over gun control that erupted in the wake of the tragedy threatened to overshadow the fact that it was the LGBTQ community that was targeted - just another example of homegrown hatred and discrimination born of ignorance and fear.
